Pullman Tamper BigStep MK III | Acetal

The further development of the patented world champion tamper with the golden titanium nitride coating. The MK III sets new standards in hardness, durability and longevity.

Highlights of the BigStep MK III:

• Golden titanium nitride coating:
• Even harder, more resistant and more durable.
• The matt gold surface gives the tamper an impressive look.

• Titanium nitride properties:
• Highest hardness (2450 HV)
• Best adhesion resistance
• Inert against acids and alkalis
• Maximum temperature resistance (2950°C)
• Not thermally conductive
• Hygienic, biologically harmless, food safe

• Improved lifespan:
• The TINI coating increases the lifespan of the tamper material by 2-10 times compared to uncoated steel.

• Proven BigStep features:
• 58.55mm diameter (+/- 0.02mm)
• Patented step for precise tamping without vacuum
• No channeling
• High quality, food grade 440C stainless steel
• Hand-friendly compression zone (cone)

• Danger:
• Note that Pullman cannot control the variety of internal diameters on third-party precision screens. For optimal results, we recommend using Pullman Filtration Baskets, perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

• Including golden 5mm spacer:
• Individual adjustment for perfect tamping.
• Additional spacers in different widths, colors and materials available as accessories.

Pullman Barista Handle - Acetal:

• Acetal is an elastic, impact-resistant and break-resistant material. Due to its outstanding material properties, it is used as a knock insert in our powder-coated barista handles.
• A full acetal handle makes it particularly suitable for baristas who knock the portafilter with the side of the handle rather than the top.
• The surface has been hand bead blasted to create a semi-soft tactile feel with a visually similar effect to the rubber in the base.
• Acetal is warm to the touch and lighter than aluminum. It offers the tactile benefits of hardwood (warm to the touch) combined with the strength and durability of aluminum.

• These properties make it the ideal tool for tough everyday coffee bar life.

With the BigStep MK III you experience perfection in Tampen, combined with innovative design and long service life.

Become a professional barista – whether at home or in a professional coffee environment.
