Pullman Tamper BigStep LITE | Jarrah LONG

The new BigStep LITE : the lightweight high-end tamper

With the BigStep Lite it has been possible to reduce the weight of the BigStep again while maintaining the same performance. At 136.5 g, the Lite is only 10 grams heavier than the Titanium, but is significantly cheaper. At the same time, the height of the tamper has been reduced to an incredible 9mm - which enables more comfortable tamping with higher dosages. All features that make up the 'normal BigStep' are of course retained:

The BigStep: Patented accuracy of fit, the best materials and high-quality craftsmanship make the high-end tamper from Pullman the most popular tool among professional baristas around the world.

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and it is not for nothing that it has won countless titles in barista and latte art championships. But the BigStep is also very popular in the home sector.

Thanks to the patented step, which allows a diameter of 58.55 mm with extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm, the Big Step fits exactly into the precision sieves made specifically for the Pullman system and thus prevents any channeling from the outset .

The result is an extremely even puck that is also optimally compressed at the edges of the screen. Only the patented 'Step' enables this maximum surface coverage; it ensures that, despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the sieve, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

The BigStep is the tamper with the largest diameter and the largest surface coverage on the market.

Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel ensures no wear and the best material properties.

Danger:
Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inside diameters across many brands and weight ratings of precision screens.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with screens from third-party manufacturers.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

Pullman Barista Handle - Jarrah LONG

The most popular hardwood handles are now also available in the ultra-chic long version - for the barista who prefers the completely natural feeling and can do without the compression zone. The 'Long Baristas' are hand-turned from one piece and their design (and functionality!) suit the BigStep LITE bases particularly well - at least we think so.

Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) is a tree native to the west coast of Australia that can reach heights of up to 40 meters. It provides one of the most important Australian hardwoods, which is often used in furniture and shipbuilding due to its pest resistance.

With its rich, dark reddish brown, Jarrah is a real eye-catcher. Please only clean with a damp cloth.
Our hardwood handles are very popular and provide a great contrast to stainless steel machines and work surfaces.
